From The Director General's Desk

amg

N ational Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) was created in April 2001 to implement the Nigerian Information Technology Policy and co-ordinate general IT development in the country. Our Act (National Information Technology Development Act (2007) mandates us to create a framework for the planning, research, development, standardization, application, coordination, monitoring, evaluation, and regulation of Information Technology practices, activities and systems in Nigeria.

Our strategic priorities are centered around: Fostering digital literacy and cultivating talents; Building a robust technology research ecosystem; Strengthening policy implementation and legal framework; Promoting inclusive access to digital infrastructure and services; Strengthening cybersecurity and enhancing digital trust; Nurturing an innovative and entrepreneurial ecosystem; Forging strategic partnerships and collaboration; Cultivating a vibrant organisational culture and an agile workforce in NITDA. We invite the ecosystem to join us through collaborations and partnerships in achieving these priorities and improving the digital economy.
